Kasoa Accident: Funny Face Granted GHC120,000 Bail

Funny Face has been released on bail after being held in police custody following a tragic accident. The Kasoa District Court granted him bail in the amount of GHC120,000 with two sureties on Tuesday, April 9.

The accident took place on Sunday, March 24, 2024, when Funny Face was involved in a collision on the Kasoa-Nyanyano Kakraba highway.

Allegedly, the comedian struck three pedestrians who were crossing the road, causing them severe injuries.

Additionally, he collided with two motorcycles, resulting in injuries to the riders. Initially, Funny Face was denied bail and held for two weeks. However, after further legal proceedings, he has now been granted bail.

Currently, two of the victims are receiving treatment at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, while the remaining two are being cared for at the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa.

Funny Face is scheduled to appear in court again in four weeks as investigations into the accident continue.

Meanwhile, during his appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo provided an update on the victims of Funny Face’s accident.

He revealed that one of the victims, a child, will unfortunately never be able to walk again, while another suffered from a dangerous case of internal bleeding.

Arnold strongly believes that Funny Face should face legal consequences for his reckless actions, as there is no excuse for such behaviour.

The famed entertainment critic also emphasized that making excuses for the comedian must come to an end.

Arnold argues that seeking help for mental health issues should not be used as a justification for engaging in reckless activities like drinking and driving.
