More ‘Wahala’ For Funny Face As Nigerian Comedian ‘Exposes’ Him Over Breach Of Contract
Just when we thought Funny Face appeared to be overcoming his recent troubles, a Nigerian comedian named Parrot Mouth has come forward with claims that the Ghanaian comic actor took his money without fulfilling his end of the deal for a show.
Parrot Mouth stated in an interview with Hitz FM‘s Doreen Avio that he had paid Funny Face in advance to perform at his Laugh It Off show in Ghana, but Funny Face did not show up as agreed.
Parrot Mouth explained that he had given Funny Face half of the payment and agreed to pay the rest after the show.
However, Funny Face later insisted on receiving full payment before performing. Despite agreeing to the new terms, Funny Face did not show up even after Parrot Mouth had arrived at the venue and waited in his car. Parrot Mouth mentioned that Funny Face has not made any effort to contact him or return the money since then.
“[We asked] just for the artiste to come backstage, so that we would all drink, have fun. The artiste manager said, ‘You have to pay the balance.’
And we were like ‘we’ll pay you. We are bringing money, so you just sit down, before you go on the stage, we will give you your money. We are not even going into the auditorium. Just give us 10 minutes. The person that has the money went to pick Akpororo. They said okay.
Before Tosca [my manager] would come down. Funny Face had left. So, we had to call him more than 50 times, he didn’t pick up the call, and I didn’t even call him for a refund or write to him for anything. Because I believe that whatever you do will catch up with you,” a disappointed Parrot Mouth said.
Parrot Mouth announced this exciting news while endorsing the upcoming 2024 edition of the Light It Off comedy show scheduled for April 28, 2024, at AIS Auditorium. The lineup includes DKB, Khemikal, Putogo, Pararan, Akpororo, and Real Warri Pikin.
