Kuame Eugene Rejects Samini’s ‘International Appeal’ Comment
Kuame Eugene has responded to Samini’s recent comment about his lack of international appeal.
Kuami Eugene was asked by Deloris Frimpong Manso when he appeared on her Delay Show if he would consider taking advice from Samini and rebranding his music to attract a larger international audience.
Firmly, Kuami Eugene stated that he would not be doing so. He explained that trying to sound more international would mean compromising his authentic highlife sound, which he is not willing to do.
The Rockstar emphatically said that while he respects Samini’s opinion, he highlighted that he has a unique brand that has already resonated with international audiences and achieved success. Therefore, he will continue to resist any advice that goes against his artistic vision.
Samini created quite a commotion recently with his statement about Kuame Eugene lacking international appeal. During an interview with Berla Mundi on TV3, Samini expressed his admiration for Kuame Eugene as a talented artiste but emphasized that he lacks global recognition.
When asked to choose between KiDi and Kuame Eugene, Samini confidently selected KiDi, stating that he possesses a greater international appeal compared to Eugene, who is more renowned locally.
