Lil Wayne’s Former Bodyguard Drags Him To Court For Threatening To Shoot Him

A former bodyguard of Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit against him, alleging that during an altercation in 2021, the ex-Hot Boy threatened to shoot him.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Carlos Christian submitted the lawsuit on December 1. In the lawsuit, Christian stated that Weezy threatened him with a semiautomatic rifle. Christian took the alleged threat seriously due to Lil Wayne’s previous conviction on weapons possession charges. The amount of damages being sought by Christian remains undisclosed.

In December 2021, Christian informed the police that he had a physical altercation with the superstar at Wayne’s Hidden Hills mansion in California. Christian claimed that the altercation began when Wayne accused him of taking and leaking photos to the media.

As per Christian’s account, Lil Wayne proceeded to assault him and brandish an assault rifle after the bodyguard went to the bathroom instead of leaving immediately. Subsequently, Christian left the premises and went to the guard shack to contact the police. However, by the time they arrived, Wayne had already departed.

A reliable source close to Wayne has refuted the occurrence of the incident and emphasized that he does not possess a firearm. Law enforcement officials have expressed doubts about the validity of the story, as the security guard involved in the alleged altercation does not exhibit any visible marks or injuries.

Despite notifying the police about the incident, Christian decided against pressing charges.

Earlier, Lil Wayne was facing a potential prison sentence of up to 10 years after pleading guilty to a federal weapons charge. However, he was granted a pardon by former President Donald Trump in January.

In December 2019, authorities received an anonymous tip suggesting that Wayne was potentially transporting drugs on his private jet.

Subsequently, the police conducted a search of his aircraft at Miami-Opa loca Executive Airport, where they discovered a gold-plated Remington 1911 .45-caliber handgun loaded with six rounds of ammunition, along with a bag containing small quantities of cocaine, ecstasy, and oxycodone.
