May God Forgive My Eyes- Moesha Says After Seeing Okyeame Kwame’s Photo

Socialite Moesha Buduong has begged God to pardon her eyes after coming across Okyame Kwame’s new photo wherein he was seen in only brief.

Okyeame posted a selfie of himself without a shirt in anything but blue boxer shorts on Instagram to mark his 47th birthday. The veteran rapper who calls himself the Rap Dacta stated;

When I was turning 40, I was afraid. I thought I would be old and weak. I was completely wrong. Today at 47, I have never been this free, this young and this wild. Now I am looking forward to 100. Come what may, we move. Happy Birthday to me.

He also added that the present he wanted from his followers was for them to buy the boxers he wearing because he just launched them. While the post received a plethora of varied comments from fans and other celebs, Moesha emerged to ascribe her own interpretation to it.

She wrote, “You trying to overtake me. May God forgive me my eyes @mrsokyeame. Happy birthday to my favourite Ghanaian singer.” Her comment has since been attracting attention on social media.

Okyeame Kwame and his wife

Okyeame Kwame is married to Annica Nsiah-Apau who also doubles as his manager. They have been married since 2009. The rapper whose given name is Kwame Nsiah-Apau was in the news recently when he said that he will be humiliated if, at any point in his marriage, his wife becomes the breadwinner of the family.

Kwame claimed that he has been socialized into believing that men should provide for their families financially and that he will suffer an emotional blow if his wife makes the decision to do the same. He stated on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show that no matter how much money his wife is making, he would not let her take over the role of the breadwinner in the household.

He was quoted as saying;

We were all brought up in a socio-cultural concept. And I have been socialized that even if my wife is a trillionaire, I must give food, take care of the children and be the one to provide for the accommodation. So for me, that type of service is attached to my ego, so if a woman is doing it for me, I will be offended.

Most women are programmed through their parents to understand that a man must take care of you. For instance, when an Akan woman is getting married, she’s told ‘If you get any assets or children bring it home, but if you obtain liability send it to your husband’s house.

So this is the programming a woman has received culturally, so once the woman is in that relationship, and she’s making lots of money, she will still have that idea of expectation that a man must provide for her needs.
