Messi Wants to Parade World Cup Trophy At PSG’s Next Home Game But Club Thinks It’s Not A Good Idea

Lionel Messi, who was recently named the FIFA 2022 World Cup’s best player, wants to display the World Cup trophy at Paris Saint-upcoming Germain’s home game, but the club is hesitant to comply with his request.

The club administration is reportedly undecided about letting Messi hoist the trophy in front of PSG fans despite the fact that he requested permission to do so.

PSG is concerned about the reaction that having the 35-year-old wave the legendary trophy about will elicit given that Messi’s PSG teammate Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick in the final.

On December 28, the Ligue 1 season of the French champions will continue with a home game against Strasbourg. Messi was in scintillating form when he led his team to defeat the reigning champions France in the World Cup played on December 18.

Messi and his PSG mate Mbappe stole the show for their countries after they scored two and three respectively to mark the encounter as one of the most epic clashes in World Cup history.
