Michael Blackson Set to Return To Ghana To Celebrate Ghana’s Independence

Michael Blackson, a Ghanaian-Liberian actor, philanthropist, and comedian currently residing in the United States, has announced his plans for returning to Ghana, just in time for the country’s Independence Day celebrations.

In the early months of this year, he opened a free public school in his hometown of Agona Nsaba, Central Region, with clean white walls, terrazzo floors, and cutting-edge furnishings that characterize this brand-new building.

Many online users have expressed their gratitude to the Hollywood star for his selfless gift to his homeland after seeing photographs and videos of the structure. Others have also asked him to take the necessary precautions in order to keep the facility looking as good as new once it opens for business.

He had already expressed appreciation to those who had helped him realize his goal in December 2022. “Finally, it’s all done and the kids in my village will all go to school for free,” he wrote. “Thanks to all my fans that supported me thru out the years, every ticket you bought to my show helped a kid.” he wrote.

In a Twitter post sighted by Tru News Report, the comedian announced his upcoming vacation plans which include stops at the slave castle, his school, and a visit to the jubilee house.

He said, “I’m leaving for Ghana on Monday, who wants to come with me, we will visit my school, tour the slave castle, visit the jubilee aka Ghana White House and we will party and celebrate Ghana’s independence”.
