MOG Reacts To Edward Akwasi Boateng’s Claim That He ‘Ghosted’ Him At An Event

Gospel musician, Nana Yaw Boakye (MOGmusic) has addressed the allegations made by his senior colleague Edward Akwasi Boateng regarding an incident at an event.

According to the prevailing issue, there was an agreement for MOGmusic to provide financial assistance to Mr Boateng to help with his financial challenges.

However, MOGmusic said due to Mr. Boateng’s absence at the designated time during the event, the promise could not be fulfilled. MOGmusic clarified this situation during an appearance on the United Showbiz program.

“When the programme started, I walked to him [Akwasi Boateng] and we talked… After a while, I looked at his sitting position and he wasn’t there.

“I asked my team to look for him but he was nowhere to be found. Later on, the people who were supposed to be honoured were called on stage and given their plaques. So, it’s not true that he was not acknowledged.

“I had no malice against him. He did not get the support because he was absent during the presentation… I asked my manager to contact him later on but I was told he [ Akwasi Boateng] was not reachable. We have plans to present the package to him, it’s still available,” he said.

His remarks were made several days following Edward Akwasi Boateng’s conversation with celebrity blogger Zionfelix, where he mentioned that MOGmusic had not kept a promise he had made to him in the past.

Boateng claimed that MOGmusic had promised to provide financial support after he shared his struggles with the public. The promise was meant to be fulfilled during an event in Kumasi, but Boateng stated that MOGmusic did not even acknowledge him at the said occasion.

“I was placed on the flyer for the show, indicating that he would support me during the programme, but he never did. I went to greet him after the show, but he [MOGmusic] didn’t say anything,” he said.
