According to a report from Ghanasoccernet, Mohammed Kudus’ signature celebration of sitting on the advertisement boards will be featured in EA Sports FC 25, making it a significant addition to the popular video game.
Kudus not only introduced this celebration but also made it a part of his style. This celebration has now become iconic, with other players also imitating it when they score goals.
To add some variation to the celebration, Kudus now looks for stools used by stewards or ball boys to sit on whenever he scores. He started doing this after his impressive solo goal against Freiburg in the Europa League round of 16 match.
Kudus first showcased this celebration after scoring a goal against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup, and it has since been copied by other players in the Premier League.
In an interview with EA uncut, Kudus disclosed the inspiration behind his celebration, stating, “Nah, there’s no really, like, deeper meaning to it. I just thought about it as doing something different.
A lot of people celebrate with knee slides and, all kinds of celebrations, but I just thought about doing something different. And then. Yeah, Glad it’s making the waves and other people, too are doing it.”
EA Sports, a division of Electronic Arts, is responsible for the development and publication of sports video games. Initially conceived as a marketing strategy by Electronic Arts, they adopted the name “EA Sports Network” (EASN) and utilized images and endorsements to mimic real-life sports networks.
However, it quickly evolved into its own sub-label, producing popular game series like EA Sports FC, PGA Tour, NHL, NBA Live, and Madden NFL.
The majority of games under the EA Sports brand are created by EA Vancouver, located in Burnaby, British Columbia, and EA Tiburon in Maitland, Florida.
One of its primary competitors is 2K Sports, particularly in the realm of NBA games where 2K releases the NBA 2K series. Konami also poses a challenge in association football games with their own series, eFootball.
During the initial years of the brand’s existence, all EA Sports games featured a distinctive five-second video introduction, accompanied by the voice of Andrew Anthony reciting the motto, “It’s in the game.”
This motto symbolized the brand’s commitment to providing authentic and comprehensive simulations of real sports. Interestingly, Anthony never received any compensation for his contribution and did it solely as a favour to a friend.
