Bridget Otoo Takes ‘Low Life Scammer’ NAM1 To The Cleaners Over Menzgold Verification Card

Controversial Ghanaian TV presenter and influencer Bridget Otoo has criticised the CEO of Defunct Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah, commonly known as NAM 1, for still defrauding customers through the Menzgold’s Digital Verification Access Card.

She said that more people would have been spared from Nana Appiah Mensah’s criminal activities if he had been imprisoned when he was just starting out.

“I was going to tweet at the low life scammer @nam_the_patriot but he has blocked me so please screenshot it for him. If they had jailed you back in Kasoa when you were a small time criminal, you wouldn’t have harmed more people. Scammer. We told you people, he’s still scamming,” she wrote on Twitter.

In a press statement dated August 18, 2023, NAM1 urged customers to validate their transactions by purchasing a GHC650 Menzgold Digital Verification Access Card. However, Bridget Otoo claims some customers are having issues with the process.

The verification card was to allow “customers who believe they have genuine indebted transaction claims to check the status of their transaction,” according to a statement issued by NAM1.

According to the statement, they have no choice but to take this step because, “Unfortunately, it was determined that over sixty percent (60%) of the claims were fraught with unacceptable infractions, which invalidate the claims in question.”

After receiving widespread criticism, Nana Appiah Mensah reversed course on Sunday, August 20. Menzgold announced in a statement that it would stop making and producing PVC Digital Access Cards since doing so was too expensive.
