Nana Acheampong Says He Was Faithful To His Wife Throughout Their Thirty-Year Marriage

Legendary Ghanaian Highlife musician Ernest “Owoahene,” also known as Nana Acheampong, says that he has been faithful to his wife throughout their 30-year marriage.

Nana Acheampong in a conversation with Kofi TV said that he has found an unimaginable level of contentment and serenity as a direct result of his decision, not to involve himself in extramarital affairs.

Nana Acheampong is also known as the Champion Loverboy. He is also the other half of the famous Lumba brothers who popularized Burger-highlife in Ghana the other is Charles Kojo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba. He dispelled the long-held perception that he and Daddy Lumba, who made up the defunct Lumba Brothers, had a conflict before their separation.

At the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) Grand Arena on Sunday, January 1, 2023, he set the record straight at the second annual Kabfam Legends Night. For Nana Acheampong, the split between the Lumba Brothers was amicable and mutual, and not the result of an unresolved conflict.

He is married to Mrs. Miriam Acheampong, and had several children together, including the well-known afrobeat musician Gyakie.

“I have never been unfaithful to my wife in any way. Because God disapproves of it, I don’t act in that manner. I haven’t done it for a very long time; in fact, we’ve been married for the past 30 years, and we’re still not done with it. You’ll find that you have more peace of mind and make more progress once you quit doing those activities. Because our company is rife with irresponsibility, you run the risk of being dissatisfied with the way things turn out if you don’t learn to exercise self-discipline, Back when I was younger, everything was great. But as I matured, I gave up those character flaws”.
