The other half of this dynamic duo is Charles Kojo Fosu, also known as Daddy Lumba. Nana Acheampong is widely recognized as one of the greatest Ghanaian artists of all time.
Meanwhile, his daughter Gyakie has emerged as one of the most prominent artists of the current generation.
Taling about Gyakie, the singer recently shared her preference for recording in a dimly lit environment during an interview with Helen Appiah-Ampofo on 3FM Sunrise Morning Show.
She emphasized the importance of creating an atmosphere that encourages introspection and enhances creative inspiration. The experience becomes even more enriched for Gyakie when collaborating with her favourite producers.
According to her, listening to the beats and envisioning the perfect storyline to complement them is a crucial part of her creative process.
“I like recording in the dark When I’m working with my favorite producers, it’s always a plus for me. I listen to the beats and try to imagine what storyline would work with them.
If I’m in a particular situation at the moment of recording, it makes it easier because I’m able to actually talk about what I’m experiencing.
“But if I’m not, sometimes I create a story in my mind and then I write that story into the song, she concluded. Gyakie conveyed gratitude for the teamwork involved in music production, emphasizing the significance of establishing a solid partnership with her producers.
