Patapaa Clears Air On Supposed Nana Acheampong’s Song Theft

Rapper and singer Patapaa has made it clear that he did not accuse Nana Acheampong, the legendary Highlife singer, of stealing his song, despite what is being circulated on social media.

He stated that he is the one who “preyed” on Nana Acheampong’s latest song, Woye Nyame, which features Fameye.

Patapaa expressed his confusion as to why such a narrative even started, questioning how someone as respected as Nana Acheampong could be accused of stealing his song.

According to Patapaa, the song he created is a remix of Acheampong’s original track. He made this remix as a way to pay homage to the legendary singer and to welcome him back into the music industry after a long hiatus.

These statements were made by Patapaa in a recent interview with Ghanaweekend online.

According to the ‘One Corner’ crooner,” I rather made my version because the song is very nice. Nana Acheampong is a legend…Why will he steal my song?… I rather like the music so I did a remix to celebrate the comeback of the legendary musician”.
