Nigerian Woman Breaks Guinness World Record With Longest Interview Marathon

Nigerian YouTuber and social media entrepreneur, Clara Chizoba Kronborg has recently achieved a remarkable feat by breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest interviewing marathon.

With an impressive time of 55 hours and 24 seconds, Clara has surpassed the previous record set by Rob Oliver from the United States of America in 2022, which stood at 37 hours and 44 minutes.

The Guinness World Records (GWR) officially announced Clara’s incredible accomplishment through a post on their website on Wednesday.

Clara conducted interviews with 90 individuals from diverse backgrounds, such as politicians, entrepreneurs, content creators, actors, real estate agents, and more. Her goal was to uncover the secrets behind their success in their respective fields.

“This record attempt was about bringing together diverse individuals, sharing their inspiring narratives, and forging meaningful connections on a global scale.

“I am committed to amplifying voices, particularly those of hardworking women, and using their stories to inspire others facing similar challenges,” Clara said.

Recounting some of the challenges she faced, Clara said her voice became “very hoarse and rusty” but she managed to drink lots of water to preserve her voice.

Clara was given a mere five-minute break after every hour of her interview, mirroring the rules of ‘longest marathon’ record challenges. In those brief moments of respite, she could either take a nap, change her outfit, or use the restroom.

To prevent losing her voice, the Nigerian contestant opted to wear adult diapers throughout the duration of her record-breaking endeavor, thanks to the copious amounts of water she was consuming.

“Even worse, my period started the same day, and I was already having intense menstrual cramps,” she revealed.

“At some point I was literally dripping pee and period stain, but I persevered and kept my eyes on the goal. To anyone who ever reads this, once you find your purpose, go after it with everything you’ve got,” Clara told the GWR.

Clara’s journey was not without its challenges. Not only did she experience the loss of her voice and the inconvenience of wearing diapers, but she also endured neck and back aches. However, she found solace in the massages provided by her team, which brought her relief.

Despite facing moments of sleepiness, Clara’s determination to hear the success stories of each guest kept her going. She remained steadfast in her efforts, knowing that the reward of hearing these stories was worth the struggle.

Now, as Clara holds the world record, she describes the experience as “surreal.” All the hardships she endured were ultimately worth it, as she reflects on this incredible achievement.

“Recalling everything I went through physically, mentally, financially, emotionally – it feels so unreal,” she said.

“I am extremely proud of this accomplishment because I know lives have been touched and changed.

“This achievement is dedicated to all those who dare to dream and persist, regardless of the challenges they face.”
