‘Nipa Ye Cobra’ Hitmaker, Obaapa Gladys Lobbies Sarkodie For Remix
Obaapa Gladys of Nipa Ye Cobra fame is getting ready to enlist Sarkodie for a huge remix of the song that went viral.
She stated that she has never met Sarkodie in person and that there is currently a popular song featuring Sarkodie, which she maintains is not original. She made this comment while speaking on Showbiz Review on Asempa FM. However, Obaapa Gladys stated she would seize the chance should it present itself to have the remixed version with the revered rapper.
The Cobra song was initially released in early 2023, but it remained relatively unnoticed until late September, when it unexpectedly gained traction on TikTok and became a viral trend. Within a few months, the song had gained widespread popularity, with numerous celebrities participating in a dance challenge associated with it.
“The trending Cobra remix with Sarkodie is not genuine; I’m yet to even meet Sarkodie in person, but if I get the chance, I will do an original remix with him, “ she said.
