NPP Has Lost 2024 Elections In Advance – Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a flagbearer aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has stated that the 2024 elections are in the firm grip of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) unless they give him the mandate to lead the party.

If delegates do not support him, he claimed, the NPP will return to opposition. He claims that in 2022 when Ghanaians sought advice on issues including the Cedi’s devaluation against the US dollar, the revision of bond dividends, and pension fund haircuts, the ruling party began to lose the 2024 elections.

“I am boldly and confidently telling you today that if you vote and make the mistake of not voting for Ken Agyapong, the opposition is just staring at you because Ghanaians have decided. “In the 2024 elections that we are going to, NPP lost that election in 2022,” he reiterated. “Why? When the Cedi dropped and businessmen all the way to tomato sellers lost money, Ghanaians decided. “When the middle class had bonds taken for 15 years, they decided. When pensioners lost money, they decided. “Anytime, there is quiet in the country and Ghanaians do not talk, then they have decided already.”

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central made the concession on Saturday, September 16, when he spoke to a large crowd of supporters at Ayi Mensah in the Greater Accra Region following a health walk. The ‘Showdown Unity Walk’ exercise was intended to mobilize support for Ken Agyapong as he runs to lead the NPP in the elections of 2024. Speaking to the crowd in Twi, he claimed that he was the only candidate in the NPP that Ghanaians were eager to vote for.

“I will beg of you, there is one man in NPP that Ghanaians are saying, if you give him the nod, we are going to vote for him and that is Hon. Ken Agyapong.

“Ghanaians are willing to give Hon Ken Agyapong opportunity to lead this country because as an ordinary member, companies that I have established, the number of Ghanaians that I have employed, my good deeds from my own pockets, Ghanaians are saying, if you want a genuine politician, who is philanthropic and has love and sympathy for his country, it is Hon Ken Agyapong,” he said amid cheers.
