Old Video Of John Dumelo Running Away From Canoe Ride On Set Goes Viral After Junior Pope’s Death

Following the passing of Junior Pope, a resurfaced video shows John Dumelo declining to join others on a boat ride during a movie shoot.

John Dumelo received praise for prioritizing safety by requesting a life jacket and other safety precautions before boarding the boat.

The video, which is currently trending, depicts John Dumelo alongside actors Lil Win, Adjetey Anang, the late Bernard Nyarko, and Don Little on a boat during filming.

As the boat began to move, John Dumelo expressed his concerns and refused to leave the shore after feeling the initial movement of the boat.

Initially, many viewed John Dumelo as a coward for publicly displaying fear. However, he is now being commended for his decision to prioritize safety in light of Junior Pope’s tragic incident.

Pope was pronounced dead on Thursday morning, April 11, following a devastating experience in a drowning accident on Wednesday afternoon, along with four individuals in River Niger in Delta State.

The group, including the actor, was on their way back from a film shoot when their boat overturned, tragically resulting in their demise.

Meanwhile, despite official confirmation of Junior Pope’s death, accompanied by tributes from actors in Ghana and Nigeria, skit maker MC Mbaraka suspects that something suspicious is taking place.

MC Mbaraka expressed his doubts in a video shared on Twitter, suggesting that Junior Pope’s death might be a publicity stunt to promote the movie they were both involved in.

The content creator firmly stood by his belief and asserted that Junior Pope was not actually dead, but rather that his death had been staged.

He insinuated that the video Junior Pope recorded on the boat shortly before his reported demise indicated that he was aware of the plan and merely acted out a scripted scene.

Furthermore, Mbakara highlighted the discrepancy between the clothes worn by the late actor in the video and the ones found on his body after being rescued from the river, as if he had changed outfits.
