Fred Nuamah Reveals Next Move After Withdrawing From Ayawaso West-Wuogon Race

Fred Nuamah, an actor, entrepreneur, and politician, has announced his determination to continue pursuing politics despite his decision not to run in the next National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primary in Ayawaso West-Wuogon.

The actor claimed in an interview with Graphic Showbiz that his decision to withdraw from the race in order for fellow actor John Dumelo to fill the position was merely a short-term break from active politics.

Nuamah made it clear that he was only taking a break from politics for the time being and not giving up on politics completely. “While my decision to pull back from the Ayawaso West-Wuogon NDC parliamentary primaries might indicate a temporary break from my political ambitions, it doesn’t necessarily mean that I have given up on politics. No!” he said.

Mr. Nuamah said he was ready to help his party in different ways and was sure that the future would work out no matter what decision he made. “I will serve my party and Ghanaians in several ways and at different levels. The future will take care of itself,” he added.

On Monday, August 7, 2023, Fred Nuamah announced that he was stepping down from the NDC’s Ayawaso West-Wuogon parliamentary campaign, surprising many considering his earlier intense pursuit of the seat.

In spite of this, the actor is standing behind his friend during the campaign, saying, “I believe that whatever happened has rather strengthened the bond we share. As I’m speaking to you now, I have already gotten in touch with my brother, and I have extended my endorsement and support for his candidacy.”
