“On My Last Album, I Spent $2 Million On Just Nonsense With Less Profit” – Davido

In his recent interview with American media personality Old Man Ebro, the 30BG boss talked about how he had frittered away a lot of money on unnecessary things.

According to Davido, some of the costs for his previous album included the clearance of songs, the filming of music videos, and international features. He estimated the total cost to be $2 million (over N930 million).

However, Davido stated that he has learned more from his current project and has been able to accomplish more with less money. He claims he has made a lot more money from the Timeless album than the $300k (about N139 million) he has spent on it.

On March 31st, he released the record, and on the first day, 12 million people listened to it on the international streaming service Audiomack. Timeless is the first album to ever reach those figures on the platform on the first day of its release.

Audiomack Africa made this known in a post on its official Twitter page and reaction, Davido expressed amazement.

The 17-track album officially arrived on March 31, 2023, through Davido Music Worldwide, Columbia Records, and Sony Music Entertainment.

The album features guest appearances from Nigerian artists such as Asake, Fave, The Cavemen, DMW’s latest additions, Morravey and Logos Olori, as well as Grammy-award-winning Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo, British rapper Skepta, South African music producer/DJ Musa Keys, Jamaican dancehall/reggae singer Dexta Daps, and South African rapper, Focalistic.
