OV Reveals How Blacko ‘Ignored’ Her After She Reached Out For A Collab

Okailey Verse aka Original Version (OV) has revealed how the newest kid on the block, Black Sherif literally ignored her after she reached out to him for a collab upon her return from hiatus.

Tru News Report monitored OV’s recent interview on MX24 where she spelt out some projects she has in store to satisfy her fans after she returned to music scene from her self-imposed hibernation.

According to OV, she decided to team up with Black Sherif, the hottest Ghanaian artiste at the moment for a dream collaboration that would have inevitably resuscitated her dying ailing but sadly Blacko ignored her, or euphemistically, he yet to respond to her message.

In this latest interview with MX24, Okailey also spoke about her mental disorder, but she boldly asserted that she had shaken off all of the “wahala” and was returning to give her fans something to savour for the foreseeable future. OV actually said that she was rising from the dead to provide her followers with excellent songs.

Recall that OV, who won MTN Hitmaker in 2018 and gained notoriety after leaving Burniton Music over her appearance—which many said was the result of hard drugs—made headlines a few years ago.

However, following her departure from Stonebwoy’s Burniton Music Group, OV previously told Giovanni on 3FM Drive that she was depressed and struggling with her mental health. She said that Stonebwoy’s cancellation of her contract had a significant impact on her.

“It was after the exit. It was something that hit me very hard. It got me thinking, ‘Am I not enough? It started giving me doubts about deserving to be on a label. It put me through some state that I will not wish for my enemy. It put me through a lot. I was depressed. It got to a point I stayed away from everybody.”

OV disclosed that while on tour with another performer, she experienced a psychotic break. She talked about how she nearly tore her clothing off and needed to be taken home in an Uber immediately. She stated that after her despair turned into a mental breakdown that left her crippled, the former Bhim Nation and MTN hitmaker winner was institutionalized.

“I was at a friend’s event. When I got there, I felt like something was not right. So I went out. I started feeling a burning sensation and wanted to take off my clothes.

“I was confined for two weeks. It got to a point where they gave me an overdose of the medicine, unknowingly, and I was paralyzed and drooling all over”.
