Patoranking Addresses Societal Vices In A New Cinematic Music Video; “Abobi”

Patoranking, in a cinematic, VFX-rich music video, addresses societal issues such as police brutality, inter-neighborhood wars, and tribal and religious conflicts in “Abobi” as a catalyst to remind not only Nigerians or Africans, but the entire world, that we are one.

The first scene depicts a burning house, which is then cut to an aerial shot of Rumuokoro on fire. Rebels then arrive with guns and other weapons, claiming war and destruction, while leaders of different ethnic groups talk about putting an end to the fighting and calling for unity.

The music video, which is directed by Dammy Twitch and premiered on February 17, is trending at No. 10 on YouTube.

This is Patoranking’s second single from his upcoming album, which Tru News Report surmises will be released this year.

Patoranking, whose real name is Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter. He has three albums to his credit, which obviously informed the title of the third album, “Three.”
