Photos: Sarkodie Leads Health Walk In Tema Ahead Of Mega Concert
Iconic rapper Sarkodie is all set to enthral his fans in Tema and beyond with a grand concert during this festive season.
Prior to the concert, the artiste led his fans in and around Tema in a health walk called Sarkathon Today. This event, which is a prelude to the ‘This is Tema’ Festival, a free musical show by the Tema-born artiste, saw a large number of people, especially the youth, walking through various communities in the Tema Metropolis.
Sarkodie, who started his career in Tema, initiated the festival to give back to society and stay connected with his boyhood neighbourhood.
The festival, scheduled for December 2, 2023, at Chemu Park in Community 7, will feature both upcoming and A-listed musicians. The venue has been prepared with a massive stage, state-of-the-art lighting and public address systems.
Is ‘This is Tema Festival’ different from Rapperholic?
The Tema festival and Rapperholic concert are distinct events that take place in December. The ‘This is Tema Concert’ is exclusively organized to show appreciation to Sarkodie’s fans in Tema as a gesture of gratitude for the love and support he has received from the residents of his hometown.
On the other hand, the ‘Rapperholic’ concert is open to all SarkNatives from various parts of the country, encompassing a wider audience.
Tru News Report previously reported that Sarkodie is currently preparing for his highly anticipated annual event, Rapperholic, which is dedicated to his loyal fans and attracts partygoers from all over the country.
This year’s edition, titled “The Rebirth,” will take place on December 25, 2023, at the prestigious Grand Arena in Accra, Ghana. At this time, the lineup of artists who will be joining the acclaimed African rap star on stage remains undisclosed.
Over the past decade, Rapperholic, spearheaded by King Sark has become the must-attend event for rap enthusiasts throughout Ghana, with eager anticipation building each year.
Notable artists such as KiDi, Fameye, Black Sherif, Obrafour, Kofi Jamar, Adina, Darkovibes, Sefa, Gyakie, Epixode, and Jamaica’s Kranium, among others, have graced the Rapperholic stage in the past.
