The Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC) has reportedly issued a directive to the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), mandating them to produce their Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Wontumi, within the next seven days.
Additionally, the council has summoned lawyer Maurice Ampaw and the management of Wontumi TV/Radio to appear before it.

This summons follows allegations against Maurice Ampaw for making inappropriate comments against the chiefs.
The NPP delegation visited the Manhyia Palace on Monday to address concerns related to alleged disparaging remarks made by the party stalwart against the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
However, it is reported that Wontumi could not attend the meeting due to health reasons.
Led by NPP General Secretary Justin Kodua, the delegation requested the council to adjourn the sitting for the next two weeks.

However, the council rejected this request and instead adjourned the sitting to Monday, January 29.
The verdict was delivered by Bantamahene on behalf of the Kumasi Traditional Council.
