Mixed Reactions Greet Kennedy Agyapong’s ‘I Will Beat Mahama’ Tweet

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, a presidential aspirant hopeful of th New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made the assertions he will upstage his NDC counterpart, John Dramani if he is given the nod by his party to lead them in the 2024 elections.

In a social media post on June 15 2023, Kennedy Agyapong tweeted “I will beat John Mahama hands down in the 2024 election.”

Minutes after the tweet, Twitter users responded, with some hailing the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central to victory while others also took a swipe at Kennedy Agyapong over what they contend to be “cheap remarks”.

Others also believed that the account had been compromised or that the administrator was acting ignorantly.

Speaking to some party delegates in Tema as part of his campaign to become the flagbearer of the NPP for the 2024 polls, he said:

“If you lack something, appreciate whoever has it, so that he would show you the way, it is no need being jealous. Those of you all over the place that you will create jobs, even your house girls are paid by government.

“Compared to me, who has over 7,000 workers in this country. Ask them, that they said they will create jobs and give us ease, how many people have you employed in Ghana?

“Don’t let them wear suit and come and lie to you. English we no go chop. Ibi our pockets dey speak, so when they come, take caution,” he added.
