Yvonne Nelson Pays Glowing Tribute To Adjetey Anang On His Birthday
Yvonne Nelson has paid a glowing tribute to Adjetey Anang on his birthday in a tweet that has drawn warm reactions from fans and other industry colleagues as well.
Adjetey Anang, known as Pusher, turned 50 years on Friday, July 7, 2023. In the tweet, the House of Gold movie director called Anang a legend and said that she was grateful for his work in the Ghanaian film industry.
She also said that he was an inspiration to her and to many others.”Happy Birthday to a Legend. @adjeteygh A big brother. We love you. Warmest congratulations on your achievement, of writing a Book. You inspire me.” She tweeted.
On the flip side, one can say Yvonne Nelson was reciprocating Adjetey Anang’s gesture when he recently offered his two cents on the impasse between former lovers and mainstream celebrities Sarkodie and Yvonne Nelson after they went head to head with a memoir and a diss song apiece.
When the celebrated actor appeared on United Showbiz on United Television (UTV) during the latest edition and was asked to share his opinion on the trending subject which has become the biggest Ghanaian entertainment news prevailing now, he said he can’t judge Yvonne Nelson for threading on the path she took which has earned her a mixture of applause and criticism.
Beyond that, the actor who is affectionately known by his moniker Pusher, a name he earned from the hit TV series Things We Do For Love two decades ago, encouraged Yvonne to remain resilient and ignore the critics.
“I just encouraged her that as much as possible, she should try to be insensitive to the comments,” Adjetey Anang said. “Some people are saying all sorts of things, so paying attention won’t help.”
“Her focus should be on her kindergarten; that should give her joy. I encouraged her to cut the responses because some time ago, that was what I did and it landed me into trouble,” he divulged on the show.
Adjetey Anang highlighted the importance of mutual understanding and healing for both sides while expressing his uneasiness with the conflict between Sarkodie and Yvonne, two persons he admires.
“It’s very difficult for me that two of the people I admire in a lot of ways are clashing,” he told the show’s host. “I can’t condemn anybody; I can’t judge anybody. I just hope that there is healing; that we won’t dwell on the negativity people are throwing into this. We’re not in their shoes, we can only comment on what we heard.
