I Did Not Abort You When I Was Broke- Shatta Wale To Daughter On Her B’day

Shatta Wale oozed profundity in a message he sent to his first child Cherissa to commemorate her 13th birthday, which inevitably has been misinterpreted by a lot of netizens.

According to Wale’s touching message to her beautiful daughter, who clocked 13 years today, July 1, he was broke at the time he impregnated her mother but resisted the temptation of having her aborted and vehemently told her mom to keep her.

Evidently, this statement struck a chord in consonance with Sarkodie, Yvonne Nelson, which is unarguably the biggest discourse on social and mainstream media. Celebrating Cherissa Wale, the multiple award-winning Dancehall artiste wrote;

I Remember when your mother said she was pregnant 😂🙏 I was Damn broke ✌️ But something in me said “Tell her to keep it” I told her and she did Untill today I owe your mum and God will make me pay her back even though we went thru stress to get here Now she is like a bestie to me 🎉✌️😂 She calls me king 👑

She call me Daddy I have forgiven her and she has done same too Even tho we can’t be together we have found a way to make you a happy child. Say thank you mummy everyday because you have a very sweet mum ,caring and respectful… Just wait for your special gift when you are 16yrs I love you cherissa NHYIRA Wale ❤️🥂

In a past interview, Shatta Wale admitted that his daughter’s mother, Eden, left him when Cherissa was just a year old because he was uneducated and ignorant.

On the other hand, Shatta Wale posted a photo of his first baby’s mother and Cherissa’s mother on Instagram on February 14, which was Valentine’s Day. He claimed that since they had a child who would always bring them together, they are not enemies.

He also praised her for giving him such a gift in the form of Cherissa. After their viral proposal at the Reign Concert last year, Shatta Wale and Michy’s romantic relationship is currently in ruins. Michy is the mother of his second child.

Furthermore, this controversial post from Wale has been interpreted as a shade at Sarkodie who made actress Yvonne Nelson abort their baby because he was not ‘ready.’
