Sally Goes After Shatta Wale Over Dull African Games Performance

Sally Mann, a prominent critic of Shatta Wale, has expressed disappointment in the musician’s recent performance at the African Games opening ceremony.

According to her, despite Wale’s renowned stage presence, she felt that he fell short of expectations and seemed overwhelmed by the occasion, a proclamation that evoked an aura relative to entertainment in Ghana.

Furthermore, Sally criticized Shatta Wale’s choice of songs, suggesting that there were more suitable options to entertain the audience.

During an interview with Andy Dosty on Adom TV, Sally did not hold back in calling out Shatta Wale for what she considered a lacklustre show at the UG Sports Stadium.

It was a good platform for Shatta Wale, who is one of the most popular musicians in Ghana, but his performance was so disappointing and amateurish.

He was not singing the songs properly and was miming. They should have brought people closer to him on stage because he is not confident being alone.

He was so dull as if he had not held a microphone before. His choice of music was not the best, he could have used other better songs.

Athletes representing 52 countries have gathered in Ghana to participate in the African Games.

This three-week-long sporting event not only showcases the talent and skill of these athletes but also serves as a qualification process for the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. Previously known as the All-African Games, this competition takes place every four years, just a year before the Olympics.

This year’s edition is particularly special as it brings together participants from all 52 countries, truly making it a pan-African sporting extravaganza.

With a total of 5,000 athletes competing across 30 different disciplines, this edition offers more opportunities for athletes to showcase their abilities and set new records compared to the 2019 African Games, which featured 26 sports.

In comparison, the 2015 Games had 22 disciplines. The events are spread across various cities in Ghana, including Accra, Cape Coast, and Kumasi, with each city hosting different competitions.
