Scary Scenes As Armed Robber Storms Ghanaian Church In South Africa During Service

During a live church service, a Ghanaian church in the South, purported to be the Church of Pentecost, was robbed, as captured in a sad video obtained by Tru News Report.

The man of God delivering his sermon froze instantly upon seeing the robbers, whose numbers did not appear in the video, menacingly approaching the pulpit.

The congregants, including the pastor and keyboardist, went down on their knees. The unidentified man who was wielding a gun started ransacking the place as he took what looked like the pastor’s wallet from the pulpit. The robber kicked the pastor and asked him inaudibly for more money.

According to the media outlet that shared the video, one of the elders of the church was even kidnapped.

The video was shared alongside this caption:

A branch of the Church of Pentecost for the Ghanaian community in South Africa was att@cked and robbed at gunpoint by robbers while church service was in session over the weekend. One church elder was kidnapped.

In a previous occurrence, a similar incident took place where armed robbers targeted worshippers during a church service at the Emmanuel Community Church in Spring Place, located in Tea Estate. This event, which occurred in July of this year, was reported by paramedics on Friday.

Recently, shocking CCTV footage of the robbery has surfaced, capturing the moment when a gunman held the pastor hostage.

Subsequently, the armed individual proceeded to steal the pastor’s valuable possessions while he was delivering his sermon from the pulpit. In a brazen act, the criminal also disconnected a television set and absconded with it. According to Prem Balram of Reaction Unit SA (Rusa), approximately 25 individuals, including children, were present during the church service on Thursday evening.

“Reaction Unit South Africa received several calls from members of the congregation at around 8 pm reporting that five armed robbers had just left the church after hijacking three vehicles and stealing several mobile phones and other valuables,” he said.

Balram said when officers arrived on the scene, they were told that the heavily armed men had locked children in the toilets while robbing the congregation of valuables.
