There’s Nothing In Your Big Head- Lilwin Chides Kwadwo Sheldon For Criticising His New Movie

Lilwin has strongly responded to content creator Kwadwo Sheldon’s criticism of his new movie, A Country Called Ghana.

Sheldon used his platform to express his dissatisfaction with the poor picture quality of the movie after the trailer was shared online, announcing its release dates in theatres.

He further criticized Lilwin for neglecting to allocate sufficient resources to post-production, a crucial aspect of filmmaking.

While acknowledging that the movie’s quality is not entirely lacking, he suggested that Lilwin could have achieved better results given the substantial budget at his disposal.

However, Lilwin did not take Sheldon’s criticism lightly and recorded a video in which he vehemently criticized Sheldon for his narrow-minded opinion on his project.

The actor and occasional musician argued that it is unfair to compare his movie, as well and African movies in general, to American movies that are predominantly filmed in studios with artificial locations and stunts.

Lilwin emphasized that Sheldon should have waited for the full movie before passing judgment. He also mentioned that several prominent individuals, including ministers and members of parliament, have praised him after watching the movie trailer.

“You can’t compare movies made in America to what we do here in Ghana. They shoot movies in a studio in America while we shoot at locations and mostly village settings”, Lilwin angrily said.

He went on to add “I’ve had MPs and Ministers encouraging me that we can do better with time but these people sit there and trash-talk my efforts. You’re a villager if you speak against the effort I have put into the work”.
