Kennedy Agyapong has disclosed his plans following his narrow loss to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He stated that he has various options to explore in his future endeavours after the NPP’s primaries.
According to him, it is only a matter of time before he makes a decision on whether to continue his political career or venture into his own pursuits.
Furthermore, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Ghanaian people for their overwhelming support and trust in him, as demonstrated by his exceptional performance during the November 4 elections.
He emphasized the importance of strategic retreat, stating that one who retreats from a battle today will have the opportunity to fight another day. He assured Ghanaians that he would return even stronger.
This message was captured in a video while he was visiting a series of businesses situated on a vast piece of land, including a prominent cold store and steel companies acclaimed as the largest in Africa.
Meanwhile, Martin Amidu has commended Kennedy Ohene Agyapong for his impressive performance in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries held on November 4, 2023.
Amidu believes that Agyapong would have emerged victorious if not for the money used by Bawumia to sway delegates. He considers Agyapong to be the true hero and winner of the polls, not Bawumia.
Despite coming in second with 37.41% of the votes, Amidu acknowledged Agyapong’s remarkable achievement, especially considering the obstacles he faced. He asserts that if the electoral process had been fair, Agyapong would have had a high chance of winning.
“The real hero and winner of the November 4, 2023, presidential contest was Kennedy Ohene Agyapong who, against all odds and vilification by the Presidency, Ministers of State, a majority of his colleagues in parliament, and other public and party officer holders, secured a clean 37.41% of votes and won only two regions out of the sixteen regions of Ghana.
