Tyrese Opens Up About Generational Curse, New Relationship, Still Not Over His Ex-Wife Who Left Him

In a recent interview, Tyrese is opening up about his love life as he promotes his newest project, a double album inspired by his ex-wife and their recent divorce, and his newest relationship.

The Fast and Furious actor bemoaned the fact that his one-year-old daughter is being raised under two different roofs, stating that his goal is to overcome the family’s generational curse of divorce.

Tyrese dated social media influencer/model Zelie Thomas after his divorce from Samantha Lee, with whom he shares a daughter.

He begins the conversation by explaining, “I was with a woman named Samantha for five years. We got married, we had a one-year-old, beautiful child named Soraya, and she just left me, out the blue .. and never came back. I never cheated. No physical or domestic violence. No side chick. No infidelity. Nothing. No going through my phone and seeing something was going on, nothing.”

Tyrese also admits that he doesn’t think his ex-wife Samantha ever loved him, claiming, “Because if she did, it wouldn’t be that easy to leave.”

While speaking about his new relationship with Zelie Thomas, Tyrese says, “I’m a new relationship. I’ve been with my girl for two years and she’s incredible. She’s sweet, she’s kind. Probably the most patient and nurturing woman God could’ve ever sent me. Because, there’s nothing more uncomfortable in getting in a relationship with someone, while they’re in the middle of a departure from their ex.”
