Meanwhile, James Lutterodt’s family, led by his father, has vehemently denied the veracity of videos making the rounds on social media that alleges James vomited blood just before he passed away.

Instead, they confirmed to Citi News that “he experienced difficulty breathing.”

The family claims that James passed away on Monday morning at a specialized hospital in Tema after a brief illness. His father, Mr Philip Dogbeda Lutterodt, revealed that when James returned from a vacation in April 2023, he became aware of a problem.

In an exclusive interview with Citi FM, Mr Lutterodt shared, “As a father, it has been an arduous journey. I observed something was wrong when he came home on vacation in April [2023]. I promptly attended to his health concerns and we conducted numerous tests to identify the cause of his illness until he passed away yesterday morning.”

James had spoken to Mr Lutterodt about events that occurred at the University of Ghana, but they have decided to suppress the specifics for the time being.

The family, despite their terrible loss, thanked God for everything. James had plans to study overseas after obtaining admission offers from several international universities before his unexpected death, according to Mr Boaz Ayitah, a close family friend.
