Video Of DKB Cursing Jayne Buckman Surfaces After Her Death

Shortly after the sad demise of Ghanaian actress and journalist Jayne Buckman Owoo, a video of an angry Derick Kobina Bonney- known professionally as DKB placing a curse on the latter has suffered on the internet.

In 2022, DKB expressed that he had placed a curse on the journalist who was previously associated with Graphic Showbiz due to sensational reportage that had negatively impacted his career a few years ago.

DKB cited a malicious publication by Jane Buckman Owoo, which falsely claimed that former first lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings had labelled him as a dull comedian, resulting in significant damage to his career. DKB further asserted that the publication was baseless, as Nana Agyemang Rawlings would not have extended an invitation for him to perform at her 70th birthday celebration if she had indeed made such derogatory remarks.

“People have written several false things about me and that is no problem but this particular one brought me down, destroyed my career, and blocked all my chances,” he painfully recounted.

He said he has not been able to rise from the ashes of the propaganda Jane started against him, which even led to the demise of his comedy show, Point of View. He told the Adom TV reporter that for this reason, he has cursed Jayne, promising she won’t have any peace forever.

Jayne passed away on Friday, August 18, 2023. No further information has been released regarding the cause of her passing.

Ms Buckman-Owoo was a dedicated staff writer for Graphic Showbiz for over two decades, covering significant events both in Ghana and abroad. Her contributions to the creative industry were recognized at the Golden Age Creative Arts Awards (GACAA) in 2021, where she was honoured for her years of service and various roles within the industry.
