Watch As Machete-Wielding NDC Youth Storm Mahama’s Office For ‘Clean Up’

The Cantonment office of former President John Dramani Mahama was besieged by supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for what was supposed to be a cleanup exercise.

The exercise was initially scheduled for Thursday, November 16, 2023, but was postponed and a statement was issued on Monday, November 13, 2023, by the Greater Accra youth wing, signed by its Regional Youth Organiser, Ambrose Amos Blessing.

In a video shared by GHOne TV and anchored by Serwaa Amihere, the youth were seen wielding offensive weapons and chanting war songs, ready to deal with any NPP members who wanted to picket at Mahama’s office.

Tru News Report earlier reported that the Minister of National Security, Albert Kan-Dapaah, effectively halted the efforts of Ernest Owusu Bempah and his associates from the Fixing The Country Movement to organize a notorious protest against former president John Dramani Mahama.

The decision to stop the demonstration was made due to concerns regarding security. In an official press statement, Ernest Owusu-Bempah, the group’s spokesperson, announced that the planned demonstration and picketing at the Cantonments office of former President John Mahama, which was originally scheduled for Thursday, November 23, 2024, has now been cancelled as a result of a formal order issued by the Ministry of National Security.

According to Bempah: “National Security informed our leadership of perceived security considerations that necessitated their request and we have subsequently suspended the demonstration indefinitely. To our teeming supporters across the country for the last-minute cancellation, we wish to assure them that the campaign to ensure that the Special Prosecutor rapidly investigates the controversial Air Bus bribery saga continues unabated. We will employ all legal and constitutional means to ensure that the investigation is pursued to its logical conclusion.”

Previously, the Greater Accra Youth wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has warned Ernest Owusu Bempah and his allies planning to stage a counter-demonstration against John Dramini Mahama in response to the Occupy Jubilee House protest to buy their coffins and secure their graves beforehand.
