Ghana’s second Group B game against Egypt in the ongoing 2023 AFCON has undoubtedly been one of the standout matches so far.

The game ended in a thrilling 2-2 draw, leaving football fans buzzing on social media. However, the result has left the Black Stars disappointed, as they had the lead twice but allowed the Gyptians to come back through defensive mistakes.

Following the match, a video surfaced of an old woman, who is undeniably the oldest fan of the Black Stars, expressing her disappointment in her native language, Ga. She passionately criticized the defenders for their role in allowing Egypt to score cheap goals.

She exemplified the ideal playing style for the Black Stars during the match. It was clear that she was deeply disappointed, as her anger escalated and she subtly insulted the team for their failure, which she believed had let down the entire nation.

In the second Group B match of the 2023 AFCON, Kudus, who returned to the starting lineup, made a significant impact by scoring a brilliant goal just before halftime, giving Ghana the lead.

However, Egypt fought back, with Omar Marmoush taking advantage of a mistake by Inaki Williams to equalize in the 69th minute. Undeterred, Kudus once again showcased his skills by scoring a beautiful goal from close range, putting Ghana back in the lead within two minutes.

The back-and-forth battle continued as Egypt capitalized on another defensive error, with Mostafa Mohamed equalizing in the 73rd minute. Ghana’s goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, played a crucial role in denying the Pharaohs a victory with two outstanding saves.

The pulsating encounter ended with both teams sharing the spoils in an enthralling 2-2 draw at full-time in Abidjan.

The Black Stars will now focus on their last group game against Mozambique on Monday at the Stade Alassane Ouattara in Ebimpe, where they will be aiming to secure their spot in the next round of the tournament.
