The feud between the two heavyweights reached a crescendo at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) when an on-stage fight broke out at a major music awards show in Ghana after one of the country’s biggest artists went to collect a prize.

When Shatta Wale and his entourage took the stage, Stonebwoy had just been named dancehall reggae musician of the year. Stonebwoy may be seen clutching what looks to be a gun in the video of the altercation.

The two men routinely attack one another about who is the finest artist because of their enormous fan bases. The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in the nation’s capital, Accra, continued following a brief interruption with no serious injuries reported. According to Ghanaian news outlet Joy Online, Stonebwoy apologized during his acceptance speech for another prize.
