A few days after tryouts, the ever-jovial man began appearing on the Churchill program, something he never would have dreamed would happen. The audience admired him and his fictional companion “Shimonjero.”
He would regale the audience with humorous anecdotes that made them laugh. He was instructing the friend on how to transition from analogue to digital during his third performance.
He even went so far as to release a song on the subject and garnered support from CCCK for the switch from analogue to digital. Since then, the comedian has only occasionally taken a vacation from work on the Churchill program.
The hardest part of telling a joke is seeing the audience not laugh. He recalls one instance in which he was called to perform at a gig where he was paid kes95,000 and the audience didn’t find his act humorous in an interview with Milele FM.
