Why Catholic Priests Should Be Allowed To Marry – Bridget Otoo

In a series of tweets discovered by Tru News Report and shared by news anchor Bridget Otoo on her page, the media personality has put forth her argument on why Catholic priests should be permitted to marry.

The articulate broadcaster, who is also a strong supporter of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), highlighted instances of misconduct within the Catholic Church, specifically focusing on priests who have been involved in immoral activities such as sexual abuse and rape.

In response to a tweet that outlined certain doctrines followed by the Catholic Church, Otoo utilized X, formerly known as Twitter, as a platform to express her opinions. She suggested that allowing priests to marry could potentially reduce the occurrence of these crimes committed by priests.

Alternatively, she proposed that if found guilty of such acts, these priests should be castrated, as this issue has become a grave problem within their ranks.

“Can we Catholics also copy others and let our priests marry instead of the immoral lives they are living? Having children, some raping women, and sodomizing innocent boys at the altar? That’s not Christlike,” her initial reaction read.

It seems that the post received a significant response from her followers, leading her to disclose the latter portion of her recommendation, which includes the act of castration. That was one tweep also conrbuted to the foregoing saying:

Catholics are literally the Original Christians, the blueprint of christianity and foundation on which Jesus Christ built his church through Saint Peter. The Holy mass is the highest form of offering you can give to God. We celebrate passions of Christ and have Holy days of obligation. The Catholic Church doesn’t believe in theatrics, we don’t just wake up on a random day and celebrate easter or Christmas, there is Orderliness and pattern. We practice and follow the Life of Christ. There is deep intricacy that is complex for a simple mind to understand. The sacrament of baptism, Holy Trinity and Holy communion are a few Catholics practices which were criticized but have now been copied. First they criticize, later they emulate.

Bridget retorted:

“I’m sorry for suggesting that Catholic priests be allowed to marry. I was trying to be kind. If they won’t change their pedophilic, sodomizing young boys at the altar, raping women, and having multiple children all over with the church covering it, I suggest we castrate them,” she added in another tweet.
