Abeiku Santana Highlights Positive Impact Of Agyinasare-Nogokpo Saga
Ace broadcaster and entrepreneur Abeiku Santana has stated that the founder of Perez Chapel International, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, should be praised for drawing attention to the Nogokpo community .
He explained that Nogokpo’s residents used Bishop Charles Agyin Asare’s comment to rebrand their town and dispel the negative image it had acquired.
Charles Agyinasare came under fire from several members of the public after one of his sermons, in which the Archbishop called Nogokpo the “demonic headquarters” of the Volta Region.
During an appearance on UTV Showbiz Night, Abeiku Santana noted that the residents of Nogokpo were inspired by Agyinasare’s remark and that they immediately took the opportunity to brand their destination as to what they are known for.”
“Archbishop did not demean the Voltarians; however, the spin and twist of his comments triggered the leaders of Nogokpo to take advantage of that to grant interviews and press conferences, which helped them get noticed. In branding and image building, foreign nationals travel to Benin and other nations to witness the Vodoo festival, so the leaders of Nogokpo took advantage of the remarks of the Archbishop to market their destination. It helped them market the community,” he stated.
