Agya Koo Denies Claims That NPP Made Him Rich

Agya Koo, in response to his critics who accuse him of aligning with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) solely for monetary gain, has expressed his anger and defended his decision to campaign for the party. He clarified that his support for the NPP is driven by his genuine love for the party and his belief in its values.

Agya Koo strongly denied the claim that the NPP has enriched him, especially after the collapse of the Kumawood movie industry in the Kumasi region.

During an interview with Nana Yaa Brefo in Ejisu, he emphasized that the financial benefits he receives from the party are not the reason behind his public endorsement of the NPP.

When asked about the accusations, he responded, “Who even gave me money, and in which account was it paid? Check all the bank accounts and see which of them were deposited. Or did I carry the money from Jubilee House?

“They are false accusations. Which of the Kumawood actors joined me? It was only Matilda Asare I worked with. Was Mr. Beautiful or Afrani part?” he fumed.

In other Agya Koo news, the veteran comic actor recently pointed out that his colleague Mr Beautiful, who is associated with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) should refrain from engaging in politics of insults.

The veteran actor and comedian mentioned that Mr Beautiful tends to focus on criticizing individuals rather than addressing political issues.

Agya Koo’s remarks were made in response to Mr Beautiful’s recent statement suggesting that if he were in Agya Koo’s position, he would feel ashamed due to the perceived failures of the current New Patriotic Party.

Agya Koo emphasized the importance of expressing political opinions without resorting to personal attacks. Making his point on Onua FM, Agya Koo said.

“I’ve monitored Beautiful for a very long time but what I have learned is that he cannot express his opinions without insulting elders. I was brought up well and I will advise that he desist from that.

They are all my brothers and sisters and so we play on set.

However, there is a need for the NDC to stay in opposition for long because they NPP has started many developmental projects that need to be completed before so the people of Ghana will have to renew their mandate so that they can finish the good work they have started.
