Agya Koo Issues Warning To Mr Beautiful Over Politics Of Insults
Agya Koo pointed out that his colleague Mr Beautiful, who is associated with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) should refrain from engaging in politics of insults.
The veteran actor and comedian mentioned that Mr Beautiful tends to focus on criticizing individuals rather than addressing political issues.
Agya Koo’s remarks were made in response to Mr Beautiful’s recent statement suggesting that if he were in Agya Koo’s position, he would feel ashamed due to the perceived failures of the current New Patriotic Party.
Agya Koo emphasized the importance of expressing political opinions without resorting to personal attacks. Making his point on Onua FM, Agya Koo said.
“I’ve monitored Beautiful for a very long time but what I have learned is that he cannot express his opinions without insulting elders. I was brought up well and I will advise that he desist from that.
They are all my brothers and sisters and so we play on set.
However, there is a need for the NDC to stay in opposition for long because they NPP has started many developmental projects that need to be completed before so the people of Ghana will have to renew their mandate so that they can finish the good work they have started.
Relatedly, Agya Koo garnered attention recently when the inhabitants of Bonwire in Ejisu, situated in the Ashanti Region, displayed their disapproval towards Kwabena Boateng, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary candidate participating in the upcoming by-election.
Consequently, the residents were not pleased when Agya Koo arrived in the town to campaign for Boateng just days before the by-election.
In a video circulating on social media, Agya Koo was captured in Bonwire, standing beside a billboard featuring Kwabena Boateng’s image. Surrounded by residents, the actor encouraged them to cast their votes for Boateng.
To emphasize his point, he highlighted that the NPP candidate was positioned as number two on the ballot.
However, the residents expressed their dissent, expressing their preference for the candidate listed as number four, the former Ejisu MP Ing. Kwabena Owusu Aduomi. This former Member of Parliament is running as an independent candidate in the election.
