Blakk Rasta Slams ‘Fake’ Sarkodie over Yvonne Nelson Diss Track

Ghanaian reggae artiste and radio presenter Blakk Rasta has hit hard at decorated Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie, describing him as ‘fake’.

Yvonne Nelson’s new book, titled “I am not Yvonne Nelson,” details her affair with the rapper in 2010 that ultimately led to her becoming pregnant.

In chapter 8 of the book, she wrote about her decision to get an abortion after the rapper refused to take responsibility for the situation. She claims she learned the rapper dumped her after discovering he was seeing someone else at an overseas university.

However, Sarkodie  denied Yvonne Nelson’s allegation in his new song “Try Me,” saying that he never persuaded the actress to get an abortion and that Yvonne Nelson tried to set him up again by inviting him to her house a few weeks ago, an invitation he politely declined.

Blakk Rasta has weighed in on the ongoing dispute by claiming that Sarkodie has always been one of the celebs who pretend to have a wonderful personality but, in reality, are fakes and liars. The host of 3FM’s Urban Blend show claimed that anyone who has interacted with Sarkodie would be able to tell how fake he is. Blakk Rasta claims to have substantial evidence supporting his claim.

“People pretend to be who they are not, and Sarkodie is one of those; there are no two ways about that. Now, if you have followed Sarkodie and you want to remove that veil from your eyes, you would know that this is a fake guy. There are so many things I can say about Sarkodie, but for the fact that I would not have time to go through that, I would just mention a couple of them”, he stated.

In addition, Blakk Rasta mentioned that Sarkodie once made a public appeal for money to help pay for the medical treatment of a sick girl who had come to him for assistance. He claimed that despite Sarkodie’s claims that “money no be problem,” he was unable to cover the cost of the sick girl’s medical care.

“There was a time Sarkodie was seeking some finance to help a girl who was very sick. I think the amount involved was about GHC 10,000, and this was about two years ago. Sarkodie came on Twitter and was asking people to donate to the cost of GHC10,000 to take care of a sick child who was in the ICU.

“Yet, this is the same person who says, ‘money no be problem’. If money is no problem, if somebody you claim is in ICU wants the money, you come and sit on Twitter and ask fans to donate.”
