A previous report published by Tru News Report announcing the death of Cynthia reads;

Cynthia Quarcoo has reportedly passed away. She was the founder and managing partner of CQ Legal & Consulting as well as the representative for Ghanaian musician Sarkodie. Cynthia was the first to create a niche entertainment, sports, and media practice inside her Ghanaian law business, so her passing is a major blow to the entertainment sector as well.

Before her death, she had over 15 years of experience representing institutional clients and governments. Cynthia is an experienced corporate/commercial lawyer with extensive banking, finance and capital markets experience with specialization in the energy, financial and infrastructure sectors and ESG.

Additionally, Cynthia served as a legal advisor to the Musicians Union of Ghana, dedicating two years to this pro bono role. Her impressive list of clients included well-known artists such as Sarkodie, Rocky Dawuni, Stonebwoy, Edem, Stephanie Benson, Reggie Rockstone, Bisa Kdei, and Samini, among others.

The one-week memorial service was held on Tuesday at the Christ the King Parish in Accra and it saw in attendance close friends, family members, and notable figures from both the entertainment and legal industries.

Among those present were celebrated musicians Samini and Sarkodie, renowned media personality KOD, politician Brigitte Dzogbenuku, former CEO of UT Bank Kofi Amoabeng, Charles Mensa and former Electoral Commission boss Charlotte Osei.
