Don’t Come And Say One District, One Ship- John Dumelo Mocks Bawumia

John Dumelo has expressed his anger towards Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Twitter for criticizing John Dramani Mahama recently.

Dumelo specifically targeted the Vice President and newly-elected New Patriotic Party flagbearer for his remarks regarding the 24-hour economy policy proposed by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama.

Dumelo accused Bawumia of lacking any innovative policies and instead chose to criticize former President Mahama’s plans. He emphasized that Bawumia should not attempt to deceive Ghanaians before the general elections in 2024 by promising initiatives like ‘one district, one ship’, which was a flagship promise they failed to fulfil before the 2016 elections.

During his ‘Thank you’ tour at Nalerigu, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia expressed to a lively audience that John Dramani Mahama has nothing beneficial to offer the people of Ghana, and therefore his attempt to regain power will be thwarted.

The Vice President and Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) also criticized Mahama’s 24-hour economy proposal, stating that he lacks innovative ideas. Bawumia believes that he represents the hopes and dreams of a new Ghana, while Mahama is a thing of the past.

“John Mahama is going round the whole country and promising everything to everybody. It is as if he has never been president of this country before. It is as if he has just landed from mass. “When he was president, did he create jobs, Did he tackle corruption, Did he issue the Ghana card, Did he bring mobile money interoperability, did he bring the Ghana property address system, did he bring the zongo development fund, did he bring the teacher training allowance, did he bring free WiFi to schools, did he bring paperless ports, did he bring gold for oil, did he bring free shs?

However, Dumelo jabbed him in a tweet on November 21, John Dumelo stated, “You, @MBawumia, haven’t offered one single policy yet you are condemning my boss @JDMahama’s 24hr economy policy. I hope this time you won’t come and say 1 district 1 ship.”
