Edem’s Accident: Rapper’s Team Shares Details Of What Exactly Happened
According to a previous report from Tru News Report and sourced from Graphic Online, it was stated that Edem appeared before the Kaneshie District Court on Monday, December 11, 2023.
The charges against him were related to an alleged incident where he hit a woman on the George Walker Bush Highway on Saturday, December 9, 2023, around 2 a.m. However, a recent update suggests that Edem’s life could have been in danger as his car overturned after crossing a naked woman. It is reported that the rapper was returning from UTV’s United Showbiz show at the time.
The latest update from the rapper’s management assures fans that Edem is now safe and collaborating with the authorities regarding the unfortunate incident involving the woman’s demise during the accident.
“Musician Edem Goget’em escaped what is described by the MTTD division of the Tesano Police Service as near Fatal accident. On Sunday, 10th of December, the Musician after his appearance on United Television had an accident on the George Walker bush High way, where a ‘naked’ woman crossed his path out of nowhere. Edem’s car turned upside down after the impact but the artiste is very fine. Edem is currently complying with the police service for due process as the case is still under investigation. Edem has assured his availability to assist with investigations when need be. Edem assures all his fans that he is safe, fully active and kicking.”
Meanwhile, the woman, who has not yet been identified, unfortunately, did not survive the accident. She was 40 years old and suffered serious injuries, leading to her being rushed to the Police Hospital for treatment.
Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending medical doctor. The presiding judge, Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, granted Edem bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties. His plea was not taken, and he is scheduled to appear in court again on February 15, 2024.
