I Have Worked So Hard – Bawumia ‘Raps’ NPP Delegates, Ghanaians

Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia claims he has made significant contributions to the progress and advancement of Ghana.

According to him, he is willing to sacrifice himself for the betterment of Ghana. While speaking to members of the governing New Patriotic Party in Donkorkrom, Afram Plains North constituency, last Saturday, the vice President said, “I am always driven by public service, not the desire for personal gains.”

“It is the reason I am offering myself, first to be elected flagbearer of our party, and then I can offer myself to the people of Ghana so that I can continue to contribute towards the transformation of our country.”

Dr. Bawumia boasted of his accomplishments as Vice President of Ghana. “I have not been president, but as vice president, I have worked so hard and contributed significantly to the development of our country through landmark policies I have initiated and spearheaded,” Dr. Bawumia added.

The One Constituency, One Ambulance programme, the Agenda 111 hospital, the Digital Address System, the digitization of ports, passport offices, and the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Authority, the establishment of the ghana.gov payment platform, the implementation of the mobile money interoperability system, and the e-Pharmacy platform are all examples of such policies, he said.

Dr. Bawumia faces off against nine other candidates in the party’s presidential primaries. On August 26, 2023, the party’s superdelegates will meet to reduce the field of candidates down to five before the general primaries on November 4, 2023.
