I Now Walk Alone- Obinim Details All That He Has Lost After Feud With Ken Agyapong
Bishop Daniel Obinim has recently shared an emotional video where he opens up about the aftermath of his intense feud with lawmaker Kennedy Agyapong in 2018.
In the video, he reveals that he has lost a significant number of his church members as a result of the animosity between him and Agyapong. What was once a thriving congregation has now dwindled to a mere 200 individuals.
Furthermore, Bishop Obinim expresses how this encounter has humbled him, as he no longer enjoys the privileges he once had as a pastor.
According to him, in the past, he had a security team consisting of six policemen, eight soldiers, and fifteen bodyguards who accompanied him everywhere to ensure his safety. However, the current situation is quite different. Now, he either travels with his pastor or walks alone when venturing to other places.
During a TikTok live session, Bishop Daniel Obinim took the opportunity to advise the general public to be cautious with their lives, particularly when they are experiencing success and financial prosperity.
“People are saying they like the current Obinim. Brother, what I have gone through in life—that I am not in the limelight anymore—is a lot. Right now, when I am walking, no one follows me. There is no soldier or bodyguard apart from my driver, Pastor Raymond.
“Previously, I was followed by 6 policemen, 8 soldiers, national security, Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) officials, and 15 bodyguards, but today, where are they? No more. I walk alone or with my pastor,” he said.
Ken ordered the arrest of Obinim in 2020
Kennedy Agyapong, in 2020, instructed the police to apprehend Obinim amidst their intense conflict. In an interview with Kumasi-based Hello FM, Kennedy Agyapong acknowledged his involvement in Obinim’s arrest.
The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service detained Bishop Daniel Obinim due to the dissemination of false information and the fabrication of documents.
Subsequently, Bishop Obinim appeared before a Magistrate’s Court in Accra and was granted bail in the amount of GHC100,000.00, with three sureties, one of whom needed to be justified.
Kennedy Agyapong encouraged the people of Ghana to concentrate on their work and refrain from blindly following spiritual leaders like Bishop Obinim.
