I Won’t Say Anything Bad About Yvonne Nelson- Iyanya Make’s Shocking U-turn
Despite the allegations heaped on his head by Yvonne Nelson in her highly controversial ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’ autobiography, Iyanya has spoken highly of the actress in a fresh interview on Accra-based Starr FM on the programme Starr Drive.
Aside being called a cheater in Chapter 10 of the ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson’ book, titled “Iyanya and My Love Life,” which delves into the intricate details of Yvonne’s relationship with Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk and the heart-wrenching betrayal she experienced, the singer still described her as sweet and said he won’t sit on radio and speak ill of her.
Iyanya on Starr Drive with Foster Aggor, says he wished he would have focused on her rather than lying to her, “My soul was in Yvonne, I loved her, that’s why I had a tattoo of her name on my wrist. The tattoo was to show I have a piece of her everywhere I go.”
He revealed that he loved the actress and wished he could have focused on her rather than lying to her, “If I was dating her, I will just focus on her. Back then I used to lie to her. Then, it was my career first. Everything came second.”
Iyanya said he wished he could have a sit-down conversation with Yvonne to talk. “I don’t feel good that I have to sit on the radio to talk about this because it is emotional.”
He added, “I also feel like at the end of the day she is healing. Let’s not forget that too whatever it is. But what we all need to understand is that everybody has been through ups and downs and being famous comes with the territory.”
His new statement is in sharp contrast with his position days ago when he swore to share his side of the story with respect to Yvonne Nelson’s “I am not Yvonne Nelson” memoir.
The ‘Ur Waist’ singer hinted that he was going to take a leaf out of Sarkodie’s book and fire Yvonne in a song to clarify some portions of the book which cited how he constantly cheated on her when they were dating.
The Ghanaian movie star claimed that Iyanya cheated on her with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh. They described their relationship in Yvonne’s contentious memoirs,
In a recent post on his Twitter page, the singer questioned whether his supporters were still waiting for him to give his own account of the incidents.
He hinted that if he disclosed a different side to the story, his admirers would call him a kiss and inform him, but he promised that something would come and pushed them to wait.
Iyanya wrote on Twitter: “Y’all waiting for my side of the story? If I talk now, I’ll be accused of kissing and telling, sluuts shaming Etc. But something gat to give, so wait for it.”
