Jackie Appiah Makes History As She Becomes First Ghanaian Celeb To Reach 10m Followers On Instagram

Jackie Appiah has become the first Ghanaian celebrity to hit 10 Million followers on Instagram.

In an era when celebrities’ influence is measured by the number of people who follow them on social media, Jackie’s feat is historic and has augmented her status as one of the most influential actresses in Ghana and Africa.

Other Ghanaian thespians who have huge followers on Insatgram include Juliet Ibrahim with 7.4 million followers and Yvonne Nelson with 7.3 million.

 Jackie Appiah was in the news recently when revealed her indifference about people’s sexuality and doesn’t care what they do behind closed doors.

While being interviewed by a new host of United Showbiz, MzGee on United Television (April 2, 2023), the mother of one who is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child, said the controversial subject is something she doesn’t want to delve into publicly because what people do with intimately in private is none of her business.

“Please I am minding my own business,” she said to the roar of laughter from host MzGee and the rest of the panel. In the same vein, actor James Gardiner who was also a guest on the show mirrored the same sentiment.

“I really don’t care what people do behind closed doors or who they get into bed with…That’s their thing,” he said.

Is Jackie Appiah married?

Jackie Appiah was married to Peter Agyemang and has a son with him. Beyond that, the mainstream actress has been rumoured to be involved with the president of Liberia George Weah.

Wild news spread uniformly on the grapevine last year that Jackie was getting married to football legend and president of Liberia, George Weah on December 10, 2022.

Rumours about a romantic affair between Weah and Jackie have enveloped the duo for a relatively long time although there has been no concrete evidence to show they are items.

This new wave of gossip was generated on Twitter and although the “there’s no smoke without fire” proverb wields many truisms, nothing of that sort happened.

Some online blogs picked this up and suggested that the actress whose fame spread beyond the shores of Africa has agreed to be the second wife of the Liberian president on the aforementioned date.
