Lecturer Gives Detailed Account Of How John Kumah Died

A detailed account of John Kumah’s death has been provided by a Ghanaian lecturer. Contrary to previous reports of him dying in India due to food poisoning, Atta Poku, who is both a lecturer and a sports journalist, revealed that Kumah passed away in Suhum while being transported in an ambulance to Accra, en route to Germany.

Poku also mentioned that the late Deputy Finance Minister had been unwell since November 2023.

According to Poku, Kumah was supposed to travel from Accra to Germany on March 7, 2023, for medical treatment, but unfortunately, he didn’t make it to Accra and passed away while in the ambulance.

Sources indicate that his health deteriorated during a visit to his constituency in the Ashanti Region for the independence anniversary.

As his condition worsened, the ambulance diverted him to the Suhum Government Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Kumah’s body has been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra. The death of the young minister has deeply affected people from both political parties.

The President of Ghana expressed his condolences on social media, recognizing Kumah’s dedication to his work, his humility, and his love for the country.

He stated:

Follow My man has been sick and has been battling for his life since November 2023. He was in Kumasi over the weekend and was due to get treatment in Germany tonight.

He was in an ambulance to Accra enroute to Germany, all things being equal, when he transitioned around Suhum.
